I had a conversation with Yusniza through Yahoo Messenger a few days before I flew to Kuala Lumpur. The conversation went something like this… (JIMY denotes myself).
JIMY: Hey Yus, I’m coming back to KL this Saturday and will be around for a week.
US: Hey you, good! Lets meet up. Make sure this time we really meet up!
JIMY: Is Tuesday fine with you?
YUS: Sounds fine to me.
JIMY: Great! I’ll give you a call when I reach KL.
YUS: I still use the same old number.
JIMY: Me too.
YUS: I have something to tell you but let’s save it for our meet up. It’s gonna be a surprise!!
JIMY: (Suspense nih…) Ok, that can wait! You need not tell me now.
The rest of the conversation were quite personal and unimportant so, there’s no need for you to know.
As I was tide up with a few things at my mama’s place in Seremban, the Tuesday plan was cancelled. So, we met up on Thursday (yesterday) instead. When I reached The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, KL, she was already there waiting for me and she looked like she’s having a bloated tummy! But why was she smiling so widely? The first thing she said to me was “Hey you… I am 4 months pregnant!” Whooooaaa lady, pregnant, really? I was stunned for a moment but later, I was like a dog with two tails when she confirmed it again. Whatta surprising news! And this’s gonna be her first born child!
She had not disclosed her pregnancy to me all this while just because she had been waiting for the right time to reveal it me. Apala Yus nih… I was so happy to see her standing there, in front of me, grinning from ear to ear, looking more radiant than ever! For something wonderful that has happened to her, she’s soooo over the moon!
We had some drinks at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Yus gave me a lovely 24 carat gold plated miniature plate which she got it while she was in Japan few months back. She just couldn’t stop grinning, you know! I couldn’t stop grinning either! As were catching up with each other, some old friend whom we knew from the horse ranch, Along, happened to pass us by.

Later, we had dinner downstairs, at Sakae Sushi, as Yus was craving for some Japanese food! It was nice to see her again, happy and glowing. Wishing her all the best in paving her way to motherhood.
